The Land of Vroengard

This Forum takes place on the continent of Vroengard. Vroengard is a large continent with variegated climate and terrain, home to a wide number of creatures such as humans, elves, dwarves, orcs, and dragons. Several of the races inhabiting Vroengard, including humans, elves, and orcs, were not native to the land, having migrated to Vroengard in the past. The terrain of Vroengard is varied. In the north, it is mountainous and heavily forested, while the heart of Vroengard is consumed by the vast Kirtan Desert. Southwestern Vroengard is fairly flat, but the towering Utgard Mountains dominate much of the southeastern portion. The first beings to settle Vroengard were the dragons, and the dwarves. Later, the elves came from across the sea. They were followed by the orcs, and eventually by the humans, who were seeking new land.



GOVERNMENT:
By the time of the Dragon War, most of western Vroengard had been under the totalitarian authority of the Empire and the Evil King Orik for about a hundred years. An independent country, Surda, existed on the Empire's southwestern border, remaining outside Orik's grasp.

Vroengard is comparable to midevil europe in its language, religion, and customs.
